As a parent, you may have concerns about your child’s snoring. It’s important to consider that there can be an underlying orthodontic issue causing the problem. Our team at LevelUp Orthodontics is happy to help and see if we can solve the issue!

Snoring is not a common problem for young children. In fact only 1 in 10 children snore! Aside from snoring due to a cold or allergies, it is often indicative of something more serious called child sleep apnea. This condition can cause problems like poor performance in school, difficulty paying attention, and even hyperactivity.

Even if your child doesn’t specifically have sleep apnea, snoring can indicate If you think your child may have sleep apnea, they can be suffering from sleep disordered breathing issues. It’s important to bring them in for an evaluation to help alleviate these problems.

The first step is to visit our office for a complimentary consultation with Dr. Gage. He will perform a thorough examination and review the findings with you. If braces are needed, we will develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your child’s individual needs. We want to make sure that they are as comfortable as possible throughout the process!

Catching problems early on in your child’s development is crucial to helping their oral and overall health. That’s why we recommend children come in for an orthodontic check-up by the age of 7. At this age, your child’s teeth and jaws are still developing and certain orthodontic and oral health concerns may be easier to address.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We offer in-person consultations at our office in Parker, or virtual consultations online. Dr. Gage and our team are happy to help!
